WFIC 2019 Dates Announced!

600x250_wfic19 (002)

Past delegates overwhelmingly chose Vancouver as their top choice location for the next World Financial Information Conference, and FISD is delighted to announce that their wisdom prevailed. WFIC 2019 will take place October 13-16, in Vancouver, British Columbia. More announcements about WFIC 2019 will be coming to you in the coming months; but for now, please mark your calendars and save the dates. If you are interested in sponsoring WFIC 2019 please contact Tracey Shumpert.

Consumer Constituent Group Summer Activities
As follow-up on the June quarterly meeting, interested CCG members will meet on two important topics this summer.  On July 24, CCG members will discuss audit issues especially in the context of possible updates to the CCG’s existing position paper on this topic.  On August 1, CCG members will discuss GDPR and its impact on exchange compliance and reporting requirements.  Please contact Tom Davin if you are an FISD consumer member and are interested in joining either of these discussions.

Rising Stars Returns to London
Just confirmed: an FISD Rising Stars Happy Hour will be held at Fidelity’s Cannon Street office on September 20. Want to be the big cheese someday? In keeping with the career development theme, this session will cover what it takes to rise to the top. You’ll come away with a sense of what companies are looking for from their senior staff and why. Registration coming soon, so bookmark the event page and check back. Contact Hope Wilkes for more information.

2018 MiFID II Outstanding Data Provider Award
2018 MiFID II Outstanding Data Provider Award was presented to Cboe Europe at the FISD Issue Brief in London on June 14. This special award was created by the FISD Service Level and Communications (SL&C) Working Group to recognize the data provider that most clearly adheres to the Working Group’s Best Practice Recommendations in support of the implementation of MiFID II activities and events.
