FISD Day 2020 - Delivering Content and Connections
FISD is proud to present FISD Day 2020 – a virtual gathering of market data professionals. With the focus of connecting FISD members from across the globe, there are several webinars and social distancing networking opportunities that can fit into your schedule. All FISD members are invited to nominate candidates to fill 12 positions on the FISD Executive Committee (EC) for two-year terms which begin in January 2021. Positions are open for representatives in each of the three FISD constituency areas: exchanges, vendors (data, software, hardware, services), and consumer firms. View the current EC list.
Please submit one nomination for your company with the campaign statements for both executives who will be representing your firm. Nominations will be accepted until December 4, then voting will begin on December 11. Please contact Tracey Shumpert if you have any questions.
New Consumer Group Focuses on Vendor Management Issues
FISD consumer members will be joining together to discuss common issues related to vendor management. This new sub-group of the Consumer Constituent Group (CCG) will enable member discussions on the vendor-management role within their organizations, the best practices for managing relationships with vendors and internal clients, and the tools and techniques that have proven to work for them. FISD Professional Certification Update
Changes are coming to the FISD Professional Certification program in 2021. The popular FISD FIA + Learning Modules eTraining bundle special priced at $425 (normally $905) is leaving our online store (account required to view) on December 31, 2020. If you purchase by the end of the year, you’ll lock in the special price and may take the exam through June 30, 2021.
What’s next? FISD is making way for new exams in 2021. Coming soon: a Level 2 exam to help support your mastery of market data technology. We look forward to launching a revised FISD FIA syllabus in Q1. Contact Hope Wilkes with questions or help with registration.
SIIA 2021 Policy Priorities Brief Announced
